Echo City developed the Clangerphone so that all players could create rich chords irrespective of their technical musical skills. The Clangerphone makes use of precisely tuned aluminium chimes which are carefully suspended and padded to produce mellow, resonant chords patterns. The notes are swung togther or played with beaters.

Echo City xylophones can be mounted in various ways or, in the portable version, lain on a flat surface to be played.
